The annual Cox Back-To-School Fair, the longest running, most visible school-readiness event in Southern Nevada is going virtual for 2020.
The online fair address is www.coxbacktoschoolfair.com and the site is filled with information and resources for students and families. Cox worked with community partners and organizations to provide the same quality and quantity of information that visitors to the company’s in-person, back-to-school fairs have come to expect, delivered virtually and available 24/7.
Presented by Nevada Health Link, the Cox-created site is organized into sections filled with virtual “booths” to replicate the in-person experience and make it easier for users to navigate. Sections include:
Education: Clark County School District (registration, food service, etc.), College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Henderson Library District, and more.
Health & Immunization: Immunize Nevada (free clinics and immunization programs), dental services and various healthcare partners.
· More Resources: After-school programs including sports, tutoring, personal development, enrichment, volunteer opportunities and more from a variety of nonprofit organizations and community partners.
· Low-cost internet: Cox’s Connect2Compete program is offered to qualified new internet customers who have at least one child that is a K-12 student at home and participate in one of these government subsidies programs: The National School Lunch Program, SNAP, TANF, Head Start, WIC, LIHEAP, or Public Housing. Visit www.cox.com/c2c for more information.
· BONUS – Prizes: Visitors age 18 and older to the virtual Cox Back-To-School Fair can enter for a chance to win a 60-inch, 4K television, a MacBook Pro laptop and other prizes.
