LAS VEGAS — Project 150 is pleased to announce it has received a $20,000 grant from the ISA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on healthy nutrition and support for underserved children, wellness education for all, aid for those affected by natural disasters, and the pursuit of racial equality. The grant will be used to provide assistance to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students and their families in Southern Nevada.
The funds will be used to purchase staple grocery items to fill family meal bags that provide students and their families with quality products to make hearty and healthy meals.
“We are truly grateful for the support of the ISA Foundation. Their generous contribution means students and their families will have breakfasts, lunches and dinners and one less worry in the household during these uncertain times,” said Project 150 Executive Director Kelli Kristo. “The need is so great during these uncertain times, and thanks to the generosity and huge hearts of the ISA Foundation, we are helping make things a bit easier for the students and their families throughout Southern Nevada.”
The ISA Foundation is operated by global health and wellness company Isagenix International, based in Gilbert, Arizona. Established in 2018, the foundation, which is guided by the principles inspire, share, and advocate, awards grants through a competitive application process.
“The ISA Foundation is honored to partner with Project 150,” said Isagenix Chief Legal Officer and ISA Foundation Board Member Justin Powell. “Nonprofits like Project 150 are critical to creating healthy — and needed — change that will help children, adults, families, and communities around the world.”
About Project 150
Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, founded in December 2011 by local businessmen Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur. The two had heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break. Since that time, Project 150 has expanded and now serves more than 6,000 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students in more than 75 schools throughout Nevada. Project 150 provides these students with food, clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, shoes, college and workforce readiness and other needs so they have what they need to continue school and be successful in life.
