(Carson City, Nev.) – To continue to assist in keeping our community healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Visit Carson City and Bike Monkey have made the difficult decision to postpone what was to be Carson City’s newest bike race, Stetina’s Paydirt Carson City, to the fall of 2021. The gravel-grinder race was set for September of 2020.
“With so many unknowns, and to protect the integrity of the first-time Carson City race and the health of our community, a postponement was necessary,” said David Peterson, executive director, Visit Carson City.
Participants registered for the 2020 Stetina’s Paydirt Carson City are encouraged to contact Bike Monkey directly at info@bikemonkey.net for more information about the event cancellation.
Peter Stetina, pro cyclist and race namesake shares, “What we’ve discovered outside of Carson City, and will ultimately share with you in 2021, was worth every single minute of work. It will still be worth it a year and a half from now.”
