Liberty Leavitt, candidate for CCSD School Board District A Trustee, is pleased to announce the endorsement of her campaign by the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 872.
“I am proud to share that I have received the endorsement of Local 872,” said Leavitt. “The hardworking and dedicated individuals of the local labor union play an integral role in the success and development of our community. Local 872 advocates for our current and future students, and the opportunities available to them within the trade industries.”
Local 872 is a part of the 500,000-member network committed to improving the lives of construction workers and public service employees. The union works tirelessly to create opportunities for the industries that build America.
“Liberty Leavitt has the qualities and experience necessary to ensure that each and every student has access to a quality education and opportunities for success,” said Lou Desalvio, president of Local 872. “Local 872 has endorsed Leavitt for the position of CCSD District A Trustee because she understands the importance of the trade industries, and values the opportunities within these industries for our future tradesmen and women.”
Leavitt filed for candidacy on March 9, 2020 and is running for the District A Trustee position within the Clark County School District Board, which encompasses southeastern Clark County. Leavitt’s platform is focused on empowering schools, equity in education, and allocating more funding to classrooms.
