Mentoring is easier than ever at the College of Southern Nevada now that it’s done completely online or by phone to ensure everyone’s safety.
More than 1,000 CSN Nevada Promise Scholarship recipients and applicants are meeting online and by phone with mentors now, but the college needs at least 100 new mentors to help these students meet the scholarship requirements. The scholarship covers tuition and fees for qualified students at the state’s community colleges once all other financial aid has been applied. It provides a tuition-free education to thousands of Nevadans every year.
Mentoring is easy – and it can change a student’s life. All it takes is three to five hours per semester. Mentors are a pivotal part of the Nevada Promise Scholarship. Research has shown that a strong support structure helps students succeed, and our mentors are a key part of that support.
