LAS VEGAS (February 20, 2020) – Desert Radiology, a premier diagnostic imaging company that has served Southern Nevada for more than 50 years, has recently acquired the first magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by United Imaging in Southern Nevada. United Imaging is a healthcare company that develops and produces a full portfolio of advanced medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment.
The uMR 570 MRI offers advanced image quality, efficient workflow and a high-performance design for reliability that will help identify a variety of patient conditions. It also includes a robust clinical application package with advanced imaging sequences for a variety of specialties including but not limited to, cardiology, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics and body imaging.

The new MRI machine was installed at Desert Radiology’s South Rainbow imaging center located at 3025 S. Rainbow Boulevard on January 17 and is currently being used for patient exams.
Desert Radiology is Southern Nevada’s largest resource for diagnostic care with more than 80 experienced radiologists. The practice operates 11 outpatient imaging centers and works closely with 12 area hospitals to deliver leading-edge services that include diagnostic and interventional radiology.
