On December 5, the official first day of the 21st Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive, IREM 99 Professionals donated $2000.00, toys and eleven (11) bicycles for children. The gifts were collected from their Christmas in July event at Tommy Rocker’s Mohave Beach Bar & Grill. Team members from IREM included, Natalie Allred, Angelina Scarcelli, Breanna Lara, Denise Razo-Rich, Suzanne Jordan and Brenda Lovato, who received a warm welcome from KLUC’s team and Chet from his “Big Thirty Foot Scaffold.”
“We can feel the tingle! This is our first year, of many, and our IREM 99 members have graciously donated and are pleased to support the 21st Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive. We encourage the community to continue to give and donate unwrapped children’s toys, cash and gift cards, to help put smiles on children’s faces in our community,” says, Natalie Allred, IREM 99 2020 Board President.
The 21st Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive runs this year until 10a.m. on December 16. Donations are accepted 24 hours a day at the local headquarters of NV Energy location at 6226 West Sahara, as well as at various other locations in Southern Nevada. Each year, the toy drive collects thousands of bikes, dozens of trucks full of toys and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and gift cards. KLUC partners with local nonprofit HELP of Southern Nevada to coordinate and distribute the donations. Last year, nearly 90 charities and the people they serve benefited from the toy drive.
