LAS VEGAS – MassMedia presented more than 78,000 food items to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, once again becoming the largest donor to the non-profit group that benefits thousands of area residents regardless of race, religion or creed.
A full-service public relations, advertising and marketing firm, MassMedia started its annual food drive in 2006 and is the historically largest Thanksgiving holiday donor to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. The agency partners with its extensive network of media and vendor partners, clients and friends to make this a successful project every year.
A vast array of food items including turkeys, vegetables, pasta, cereal and bottled water were gathered by MassMedia employees over the last few weeks and presented to Catholic Charities on Nov. 18, in time for a Thanksgiving distribution to area families. MassMedia had two teams – the “Food Raiders” and the “Grateful Plate Full” — competing against each other to raise the most amount of food.
MassMedia President Georgeann Pizzi said, “We collected far more items in this year’s food drive than in any previous year, and I am very proud of our MassMedia team.” She added, “This campaign gives us the opportunity to give back to the community of which we’ve been a part for 22 years. We are honored to support this worthy cause and help vulnerable families in the Las Vegas area.”
