Tolles Development Company celebrated ongoing construction efforts at The Village at Rancharrah Thursday through a girder signing ceremony with Reno City Council members, investors, dignitaries, village tenants and the community. Several new shops and restaurants were also announced for the project.
Par Tolles, principal and CEO of Tolles Development Company; Chip Bowlby, president and CEO of Reno Land Inc.; and dignitaries announced upcoming tenants and construction plans for The Village at Rancharrah before signing steel construction beams — symbolizing the introduction of this brand-new city center.
“The Village at Rancharrah will act as Reno’s Living Room. It will be a place where the community can take a break from their busy daily lives and unwind,” Tolles said. “Construction is underway, and we anticipate the development to be open and fully operational by next year.”
The Village at Rancharrah will be a mix of retail, restaurant and lifestyle offerings. Restaurant and business owners who will be occupying The Village at Rancharrah showcased their food, services, goods and products during the event.
The development will house around 20 local businesses that will include waterfront dining, shopping and office spaces. Some of these businesses that have previously been announced include Dolce Vita Wellness Spa, Süp Restaurant, Coffeebar, Rancharrah Clothing Company, Chez Vous, Centro, The Bar Effect, Art Obsessions, and a waterfront restaurant by Tom Turner, owner of four renowned Lake Tahoe restaurants.
New shops and restaurants that were announced include:
Sierra Standard Restaurant
Tom Turner announced the name of his waterfront restaurant, Sierra Standard. Positioned on the water’s edge, the restaurant will have breathtaking views and overlook the recently renovated Club at Rancharrah — previously known as the iconic Rancharrah Mansion. Turner is the owner of renowned Lake Tahoe restaurants and will bring his unique lake-side flair to Reno at The Village at Rancharrah. His impressive portfolio includes Gar Woods, Riva Grill, Caliente and Bar of America. This new flagship waterfront eatery will offer guests a mixed menu of land and sea entrees as an American fish and steak house with an emphasis on a lively bar.
Base Camp Pizza Co.
Base Camp Pizza is ranked the 4th best pizzeria in the country according to Yelp and USA Today. Soon you won’t have to visit Heavenly Village in South Lake to experience their gourmet pizzas, craft beers, pasta, and live music. The Village at Rancharrah is proud to be the home of Base Camp Pizza’s new Reno location.
Rolled Mountain Creamery
Inspired by the street vendors of Thailand, Rolled Mountain Creamery offers made-to-order ice cream rolls. Rolled Mountain Creamery is opening a second location at the Village at Rancharrah, expanding on their success at their current Powning District location. The tiny rolled ice cream rosettes are topped with ingredients ranging from fresh fruit and waffle pieces to teddy grahams and gummy worms.
Dorinda’s Chocolates
Eschewing trendiness in favor of incredible flavor, Dorinda’s award-winning chocolates are all-natural, hand-made creations. Dorinda’s hand-made products are made with fair-trade ingredients of the best possible quality. This adds up to an indulgent, but ethical experience with every bite, hand-crafted by some of the region’s most celebrated chocolatiers.
Hinoki
Duc Du, owner of Hinoki Sushi on Longley, is bringing a new-to-Reno sushi concept to the Village at Rancharrah. In addition to Hinoki Poke at this location, Hinoki is also offering Omakase-style dinner. Omakase, which translates from Japanese “I’ll leave it up to you,” is a chef’s choice dining experience of daily invented menu of only the highest quality seasonal ingredients.
Village Dental
Dr. Megan M. Cercek, DMD, is opening a cosmetic and general dentistry practice at the Village at Rancharrah called Village Dental. Dr. Cercek is an experienced dentist with a robust practice.
The Village will be open to the public in 2020 and is accessible to North and South-bound traffic, with a Kietzke lane entrance located near US HWY 395 ramps. An abundance of onsite parking will add further convenience for patrons. Additional information about The Village at Rancharrah can be found at villageatrancharrah.com.
