HENDERSON, Nev. – The Foundation Assisting Seniors is set to hold its Basket Raffle on Oct. 12 in the Ballroom at Green Valley Ranch Resort. Doors open at 12 p.m., with raffle activities beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The fifth annual raffle will include an auction, themed baskets, a gift card grab, with all proceeds benefitting the Foundation’s ongoing programs and services. Tickets for admission are $10 and include 20 raffle tickets. Guests may purchase additional tickets at the door. Leading up to the event, tickets will be for sale at the FAS office and also from any Foundation Assisting Seniors trustee or “Friend of the Foundation.”
“This is one of our favorite events to host each year, as we love to get the senior community together in an exciting and collaborative environment,” said Patty Duffey of FAS. “Not only are we able to raise money for the Foundation, but we enjoy seeing the excitement and participation from the community each year.”
The Foundation Assisting Seniors was founded with the mission of improving the quality of life for the senior community by assisting them in times of illness, recovery, confinement at home, coping with the loss of a loved one and other senior challenges, as well as to provide assistance with everyday tasks such as household maintenance and transportation. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation has responded to more than 260,000 requests for assistance services.
