LAS VEGAS – De Castroverde Law Group, a local personal injury, criminal defense and immigration law firm founded in 2005 by brothers Alex and Orlando De Castroverde, recently completed an expansion of its downtown campus in the historic Huntridge neighborhood.
This latest expansion of the firm’s offices on Maryland Parkway comes at an exciting time for the neighborhood, with the city of Las Vegas announcing this month that a deal is in the works to sell and redevelop the nearby Huntridge Theater.
“We love downtown Las Vegas and this neighborhood in particular, and we’re proud to continue playing a part in revitalizing this area,” Alex De Castroverde said. “We’re excited to see our law practice continue to grow to serve our clients and colleagues, but we didn’t want to outgrow this neighborhood. Rather than move to another location, we’ve always wanted to do our part to help improve this historic neighborhood.”
The firm recently completed its expansion into a newly remodeled building at 1201 S. Maryland Parkway next to its existing office building at 1149 South Maryland Parkway. The firm’s offices are across the street from Huntridge Circle Park and just south of the Huntridge Theater. The new building provides the firm with another 3,000 square feet of office space, giving it a total of 8,000 square feet at its Maryland Parkway campus.
De Castroverde Law Group employs 70 people, including 13 attorneys. The firm also has offices in Reno and in Tivoli Village, near the Summerlin area of Las Vegas.
The firm began its Maryland Parkway expansion in 2012 by demolishing an empty building next to its original office. The building that was demolished to make room for the expansion was the childhood home of former Nevada Governor and U.S. Senator Richard Bryan. After the Bryan family sold the home in the late 1960s, it was expanded and used for a variety of commercial purposes, including a western art gallery.
“We founded our practice downtown in 2006 with the goal of growing, and in that time, we’ve really enjoyed becoming a part of this historic neighborhood and community,” Alex De Castroverde added. “We’ve been fortunate to not only grow our staff substantially, but to have been embraced by the neighborhood.”
