FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Casa de Vida to Host Annual Fall Fundraiser in November
Reno, Nev. – Casa de Vida, located in Reno, will be hosting their annual Fall Fundraiser event, Be A Candle, Help Us Bring Light and Hope to Young Mothers, on Saturday, November 23rd at The Club in Arrowcreek. For over 30 years, Casa de Vida has provided a safe home and support to pregnant young women and mothers in the community who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Casa de Vida is a private, nonprofit organization that strives to make a positive difference in the lives of these women and their children by teaching life skills that will set them on a path of success.
“At Casa de Vida, we help these highly vulnerable young women meet their basic needs for food, shelter and safety” said Marie Baxter, CEO, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “We also teach them a variety of skills that will help them make positive, lasting changes for themselves and their babies by equipping them with the life skills they never learned and set them on a path to avoid repeating the cycle of poverty, deprivation and abuse.”
The event will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a raffle. Proceeds from the event contribute significantly to helping Casa de Vida continue to provide outstanding supportive services to women in need on an annual basis.
Tickets for the event are $125 per person; VIP tickets are $200 per person and include an exclusive food and whiskey cocktail pairing. Sponsorship packages are available for 2019 with the following levels: Changing Lives Sponsor – $5,000, includes 10 VIP tickets; Strengthening Families Sponsor – $2,500, includes six event tickets; and the Empowering Mothers Sponsor – $1,000, includes two event tickets.
