Local resource group brings together charities for relevant topics, collaboration and education
LAS VEGAS – The B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation, a resource for girls in vulnerable situations, will hold its first “SHERO Non-Profit Summit” on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Nevada Co-Op Extension, 8050 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nev. Non-profit organizations from across the Valley will collaborate and learn relevant information in an informative and comprehensive environment.
“There is no other event like this for the entire not-for-profit industry that gives access to numerous non-profit leaders,” said event organizer and B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation Co-Founder Monica Coburn. “Events are typically geared towards a specific topic and subject matter like fundraising, donor development or board development for example, not necessarily all comprehensive.”
“We also have a dual line up of speakers with organizations – Ronald McDonald House and Nevada Healthcare Centers Foundation – speaking jointly on collaboration,” continued Coburn. “Both organizations are great examples of how collaboration can reduce the amount of duplicated services, streamline processes and overall make a greater impact on the community.”
The lineup of speakers will include: culture expert and Altium Leadership President Spencer Horn, Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation Chief Development Officer T. Clay Buck, Agents of Good Partner Jen Love, Wells Fargo Senior Vice President and Community Relations Manager Dawn LaBonte, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas Chief Executive Officer Alyson McCarthy, Nevada Health Centers Development Officer Sylvia Wolf, public relations executive and Dress for Success Southern Nevada Founder Paige Candee, Nevada Hand Resource Development Manager Kelly Woods, and Spread the Word Nevada Director of Development Pamela Lang.
For $39, guests will hear keynote and guest speakers, participate in roundtable discussions, collaborate, learn and receive breakfast and lunch. For more information, visit www.sherofoundation.org or call 844-67-SHERO.
