LAS VEGAS – Easterseals Nevada (ESN), an innovative healthcare and human services non-profit organization, is reaching out to the community asking for donations of supplies for its Adult Enrichment Services. Running through September, items needed to enhance its AES program include new art supplies, board games, and puzzles for individuals to utilize during their day.
ESN’s Enrichment Services program engages adults with physical and intellectual limitation. It includes the following services: Expert Individualized Support, Socialization, Stimulating Environment, Rehabilitative Skills Training, Cooking and Baking, Daily Exercise, Community Outings, Daily Living Skills, Computer Skills, and Modified Sports. ESN’s Enrichment Services also includes healthcare services with an onsite LPN who is overseen by a licensed RN to provide necessary care to clients during the day. ESN offers engagement activities, such as music and movement, computer exploration classes, and daily outings for individuals to go out into the community and explore all that Clark County has to offer. The local community can give back and help adults in the ESN program by dropping off their donations between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 7281 W. Charleston Blvd.
“Community engagement is critical to the success of our programs,” said Christine Zack, President and CEO of Easterseals Nevada. “While outreach efforts can take many forms, collecting donated games and art supplies not only creates awareness about our programs, it also provides both clients and staff an opportunity to feel supported and appreciated by the community.”
ESN provides healthcare and human services to children and their families across all socio-economic classes and regardless of an individual’s ability to pay.
