LAS VEGAS, NV – The Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada board of directors is proud to announce Timothy A. Goldsmith has joined the organization. The addition of Goldsmith and his expertise in accounting and vast international business experience will greatly benefit Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada.
Goldsmith is an assurance partner at Ernst & Young, LLP. For more than 13 years, he has led multiple private and public integrated audit engagements within the gaming and airline industries. His career at Ernst & Young has been an international endeavor, as he has worked in Hong Kong, Atlanta and Las Vegas.
“For decades, Junior Achievement has provided our young people with essential skills to seize and realize the full extent of their career opportunities and help them thrive in the financial realm of their lives. I’m excited to be a part of this organization as we strive to reach more students than ever before in one of the nation’s largest school districts,” said Goldsmith.
An Ohio native, Goldsmith graduated from Ohio University and is a certified public accountant in Georgia, Ohio and Nevada. In addition, he served on the board of directors for WonderRoot, an art based nonprofit organization, as well as Roo-N-More, a small zoo located in Moapa NV.

Junior Achievement is in its 100th year of operation (100 years, 100% ready) nationwide. Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, Inc. was founded locally in 1996. The current local programs span grades K-12, with age-appropriate curricula. At the elementary level, students learn about their roles as individuals, workers and consumers while focusing on key life skills like the importance of saving and the difference between wants and needs. Middle and high school students learn about key economic principals, workforce issues they will face, personal budgeting and credit.
