Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada Announces New Board Member Berni Bourekas
LAS VEGAS, NV – Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is proud to announce Berni Bourekas, Vice President, Card Member Administration Management at Credit One Bank has joined their board of directors.
Bourekas is currently the Vice President of Card Member Administration at Credit One Bank in Las Vegas, responsible for Supply Chain Operations. Bourekas has more than 20 years of experience leading global operations, marketing and finance, combining strategic and tactical thinking with business, analytical and innate operational know-how to drive profitable growth. Her background has been in the high-tech industry with companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Foxconn and Symmetricom.

Bourekas holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Kellogg MBA and Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University. She was a former Board Member for the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.

Junior Achievement is in its 100th year of operation (100 years, 100% ready) nationwide. Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, Inc. was founded locally in 1996. The current local programs span grades K-12, with age-appropriate curricula. At the elementary level, students learn about their roles as individuals, workers and consumers while focusing on key life skills like the importance of saving and the difference between wants and needs. Middle and high school students learn about key economic principals, workforce issues they will face, personal budgeting and credit.
