Prominence Health Plan will offer a new Association Health Plan to the members of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association (NHLA). Smaller hospitality providers can now offer high-quality and affordable medical, dental, vision and life insurance to all their employees. Open enrollment began June 1, 2019, and the plan will be effective July 1, 2019.
The NHLA has over 200 member companies within the hospitality and lodging industry. Approximately 35 percent of those members are considered a small business — having two to 50 employees — that can directly benefit from the plan. A partnership with Prominence Health Plan increases the accessibility of highly-qualified healthcare professionals to NHLA members in need of affordable care.
Association Health Plans (AHP) offer similar benefits to small companies that have traditionally been accessible only to larger group employers. Members will now have access to more than 2,000 primary care providers and 3,300 specialists. The HMO open access plan also allows individuals to see a specialist without a referral from a primary physician.
“We are pleased to provide an opportunity for our smaller member companies to obtain group health insurance for their employees through the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association’s partnership with Prominence Health Plan,” states Diane Gandy, President. “There are many plan choices available that can serve our member companies well in this important business area.”
AHPs will offer affordable monthly premiums to Nevadans within the hospitality and lodging industry. A variety of plans will be available to individuals including value-added programs and a robust statewide network.
Plan benefits will also include Go365, a wellness program that encourages a healthy lifestyle, as well as the Teladoc Program, 24/7 member care via telephone or video from physicians, psychiatrists, clinical social workers and counselors. Additionally, dental care, vision plans and life insurance will be available through Kansas City Life.
