LAS VEGAS – Forbes recently named Nevada State Bank one of “America’s Best-In-State Employers 2019.” Ranked at number five, the bank is the only financial institution listed among the top 10 employers in Nevada.
“We’re proud to earn this distinction from Forbes,” said Terry Shirey, president and CEO of Nevada State Bank. “From our colleagues and culture to our services, we’re continually working to improve every aspect of Nevada State Bank, and engaging our colleagues is a priority.”
Nevada State Bank employs about 800 colleagues throughout the state who enjoy a wide range of innovative programs and benefits. Examples include tuition reimbursement and ongoing wellness encouragement programs, as well as numerous employee events and team-building activities. In addition to supporting many nonprofit organizations in Nevada, the bank also recognizes its colleagues who volunteer for worthwhile causes and charities in their communities.
Forbes released its inaugural list of America’s best employers in June. Partnering with Statista.com, the list was compiled by an anonymous survey of more than 50,000 employees at companies with at least 1,000 people (including their subsidiaries). The Forbes list of America’s Best Employers identifies companies that employees like to work for and would recommend to others. The final list ranks the 1,430 employers that received the greatest number of recommendations in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
