LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Remington Nevada, a premier commercial land development company with properties in Nevada and Arizona, announced today that they have officially broken ground on Skye Canyon Village, a 30-acre retail center with over 240,000 square feet of retail store space across multiple buildings. The new development, located at 9700 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive, will serve Skye Canyon’s 1,700-acre master planned community and the Northwest Las Vegas submarket. Skye Canyon Village is expected to bring nearly 50 tenants and 250 full-time jobs to the community. The projected completion date is summer 2020.
“This development has been years in the making,” said David DelZotto, Founder and CEO of Remington Nevada. “Residents of the fast-growing Skye Canyon community and neighboring Northwest area will now have convenient access to the amenities they desire close to home.”
Located less than 1 mile west of the US-95 Skye Canyon Interchange, Skye Canyon Village is nestled in a prime location close to popular outdoor sites like Mount Charleston. The retail center is anchored by Smith’s Marketplace, a 125,000-square-foot grocery store that opened last year and is three times the size of a traditional Smith’s grocery store. Smith’s Marketplace comprises 13 of the 30 acres of Skye Canyon Village and it marks the first major commercial development for the Skye Canyon community.
The Skye Canyon community was listed as a top-selling master planned community in 2018 by real estate firm RCLCO. The community is made up of 6,500 home sites, situated in entry-level, move-up and luxury neighborhoods with numerous amenities including designated bike lanes, walking paths and several parks, according to its website.
“Similar to our Mountains Edge Marketplace property, Skye Canyon Village acts as the gateway to the growing Skye Canyon community. Skye Canyon continues to mature as one of Las Vegas’ most-desirable master planned communities,” says DelZotto.
Remington Nevada already has several confirmed tenants for Skye Canyon Village, including Café Rio, Burger King, Chase Bank, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Rockstar Nails, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, and a dentistry and optometry office, with additional tenants to be secured prior to completion. There is one remaining 4,500-square-foot pad available that includes a drive through.

About Remington Nevada
Remington Nevada was founded in 2012 by David J. DelZotto, an entrepreneur who has been in the real estate and land development industries for over 30 years, both in Canada and the United States. In 1992, DelZotto started Remington Homes, and for 12 years, focused on the development and construction of single-family and custom luxury homes in Southern Nevada. From 2003-2008, Remington Homes branched into the land development business and acquired raw land in Nevada, Arizona and California for the purpose of entitling the property for future development. During this time, Remington Homes rezoned, engineered, and mapped more than 500 single-family lots, which were then sold to homebuilders such as Centex, Pulte and DR Horton. In 2012, Remington Nevada was created, once again expanding the company into the commercial land development marketplace with projects in Southern Nevada and Phoenix metropolitan areas.
