TRU Development assists NAIOP in renovating cottages at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children
TRU Development, a local development company, recently had its employees take part in phase two of NAIOP Southern Nevada’s Getting Dirty for a Great Cause project. This project, held by NAIOP’s Community Service Committee, aims to renovate four of the on-site cottages at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. Several employees assisted in the initial renovations of two homes on the campus, and a generous donation of $500 was made by TRU Development to help fund the project.
“At TRU Development we encourage our employees to get involved in their local community and support causes they are passionate about,” said Tim Deters, president and CEO of TRU Development. “When our team heard about what NAIOP was doing, we knew we wanted to be a part of this incredible project. We are proud to have participated in the initial renovations, and look forward to continuing our involvement with the project as it continues.”
St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s mission is to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected children and provide safe and nurturing homes for them in the midst of their transition. Over the past 50 years, St. Jude’s Ranch has provided new lives and created opportunities for thousands of abused and neglected children in Nevada. Each of the four cottages being renovated will include new roofing, flooring, fixtures, paint and more.
