City National Appoints Joseph W. Brown to its Southern Nevada Advisory Board
LAS VEGAS, NV – City National Bank, Nevada’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced that it has named longtime Nevadan and prominent attorney Joseph W. Brown, Of Counsel to the Kolesar & Leatham law firm, as a member of its Southern Nevada Advisory Board. Brown is a highly regarded and well-known attorney and leader of the southern Nevada business community.

Brown has served on countless civic and charitable boards, has received two Presidential appointments, and been appointed by five separate Nevada governors to prestigious State agency boards such as the Nevada Gaming Commission, Athletic Commission, and Wildlife Commission. He has proudly served as Chairman of the Nevada Development Authority, the Nature Conservancy, the Nellis Support Team and the Nevada Military Support Alliance. Brown is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Washington & Lee University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada and the District of Columbia. In December 2012, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and in 2013 he was given the Outstanding Alumnus Award by Washington and Lee University School of Law.
