LAS VEGAS – Farhan Naqvi, founder and managing partner of Naqvi Injury Law, has been appointed to the board of directors for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Nevada’s only nonprofit outpatient treatment facility for those diagnosed with childhood cancer and other life-threatening conditions.
Naqvi’s philanthropy includes a multi-year commitment to Cure 4 The Kids and regular participation in the organization’s events and fundraisers. In addition to Cure 4 The Kids, Naqvi and his firm provide major donations to HELP of Southern Nevada through the annual KLUC 98.5 Toy Drive, where they have given more than $100,000 and 10,000 bicycles during the past six years of their participation.
In 2018, Naqvi was selected as one of the American Cancer Society’s “Real Men Wear Pink” designees and was named the program’s Rookie of the Year for raising over $11,000 for breast cancer research and treatment. Nevada Donor Network also recognized the firm as its 2018 Community Champion for its outstanding effort to raise organ, eye and tissue donation awareness in Southern Nevada. The firm is a regular sponsor of Fox 5’s “Shining Star” program, recognizing community volunteers and leaders, as well as the Wednesday’s Child program on News 3 that highlights children available for adoption.
“Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is doing tremendous work for our community and children faced with life threatening diseases,” he said. “I have tremendous respect for Annette Logan-Parker and appreciate her placing her trust in me as a steward of the organization. Her work to create Cure 4 The Kids has impacted thousands of children in Southern Nevada and is truly inspiring.”
