LAS VEGAS/RENO – Easterseals Nevada (“ESN”) announced today that Northern Nevadans, Senior Judge Charles McGee and Michael Willden and Southern Nevadans, Bruce Familian, Dr. Mario Gaspar De Alba and Sara Partida, Esq. have joined the ESN Board of Directors.
Northern Nevada Board Expansion
Senior Judge Charles McGee is a native Nevadan and retired Family Court Judge who has dedicated his life to enhancing the lives of children and families. Judge McGee is a founding board member of Parents United and the Children’s Cabinet. He was also a founding director of Kid’s Korner, Silver State Academy and the Foster Care Board.
Michael Willden is also a native Nevadan and served the State of Nevada for 45 years, most recently as former Governor Brian Sandoval’s Chief of Staff. Willden also served as Director of the Nevada Department of Health and Services for over a decade. Upon retiring from the State in January, Willden accepted consulting positions with the Nevada System of Higher Education and The Perkins Company.
Southern Nevada Board Expansion
Bruce Familian is a Henderson-based real estate developer, general contractor, gaming license holder, casino operator and philanthropist. Familian owns Familian Development Corp and the Klondike Casino and has a long history of philanthropy and involvement in non-profits with previous service on the Advisory Board for the Special Olympics where he hosted an annual fundraiser for Special Olympics called Bowl for the Goal. Familian currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Congregation Ner Tamid.
Dr. Mario Gaspar De Alba is a board certified Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an Associate Professor and Division Chief of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at UNLV School of Medicine. He was appointed the CDC’s Learn the Signs Act Early Ambassador to the state of Nevada from 2014-16. Dr. Gaspar De Alba provides assessments and Autism diagnostic services for ESN in Northern and Southern Nevada.
Sara Partida, Esq. is a native Nevadan with 15 years of experience in the areas of gaming, data privacy, energy and healthcare law and government affairs. Currently, Partida is a senior member of the Wynn Las Vegas legal team with previous service as a lobbyist with The Perkins Company and as Principal Deputy Legislative Counsel with the Legislative Counsel Bureau in Carson City. Partida has provided pro bono legal services to ESN and also volunteers her time with the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program and as a board member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
