Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops will be giving away free ice cream from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 through Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day.
Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day traces back to 1979 in shops in 38 countries. Worldwide more than 1 million scoops will be given away. Free Cone Day starts April 9 at the Sunset Station location on 1301 W. Sunset Road and The District at Green Valley Ranch scoop shop on 2225 Village Walk Drive in Henderson, flavors available like classic Cherry Garcia to new favorites like Wake & “No Bake” Cookie Dough Core. Ben & Jerry’s first claim to fame, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, is now available in original and non-dairy versions, so there’s something for everyone.
Many Las Vegas entertainers and community leaders are coming out to support Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day and will serve ice cream at the District location and balloon artists and face painters will be on hand for all the kids to enjoy.
Ben and Jerry’s is using the Free Cone Day event to bring public awareness to the CASA Foundation Las Vegas community work. CASA trains volunteers to be legal advocates of children who are abused and neglected and deliver financial resources to address the special needs of children.
Georges and Joyce Maalouf, who own several Ben & Jerry’s locations in southern Nevada, are long-time supporters of the CASA Foundation.
“Free cone day gives us the opportunity to raise awareness for the work CASA does for some of the most vulnerable children in our community,” said Georges Maalouf. “We honor the volunteers who give their love and support to the children in our community.”
Donations will be accepted for the CASA Foundation at Henderson locations: Sunset Station location is at 1301 W. Sunset Road and The District at Green Valley Ranch scoop shop is at 2225 Village Walk Drive in Henderson.
