Anton Tielemans of Tielemans Design was recently selected to design the commemorative logo for Zion National Park, Utah’s oldest National Park, in honor of the landmark’s 100th anniversary as it officially became a national park in 1919.
“We are very pleased to include Anton’s unique and captivating design commemorating Zion National Park’s 100th anniversary in a number of our promotions and other uses this year,” said Lyman Hafen, executive director for the Zion Natural History Association in Zion National Park.
According to Tielemans, coming up with a concept for the 100th anniversary logo was a privilege that enabled him to showcase his creativity. “Zion is a unique and easily identifiable word that allows “100” to mingle within the characters and still maintain readability,” he said.
Tielemans has designed hundreds of logos over the course of his 40-year career, garnering dozens of awards including Graphis Gold, International Visual Identity Awards, LogoLounge and multiple Addys. Most recently, he had the honor of assisting with the rebranding of Silver State Schools Credit Union.
