LAS VEGAS – Easterseals Nevada (“ESN”) announced today that Christine Zack has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Easterseals Nevada.
Zack, who assumed the position in December after a pro bono executive search by Mark Wayman, has 15 years of experience serving as a member of the corporate senior management team for four national for-profit healthcare companies. In these roles, she provided strategic guidance on all aspects of organizational affairs. Zack has served in the roles of executive vice president, chief strategy officer, senior vice president, chief risk officer and vice president, corporate counsel for national hospital and skilled nursing chains, and as chief strategy officer for a digital health company.
Currently, Zack also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she created and teaches “Health Care Law & Ethics for Managers” in the Executive Master in Healthcare Administration program. She has also served as a director of the Nevada Public Employees’ Benefits Program Board since being selected for the position via gubernatorial appointment in 2016. In her personal life, she serves on the Board of Trustees of The Shade Tree, where she is also a member of the Executive Committee. Zack is the president of her neighborhood property owners’ association Board of Directors and the board liaison for her neighborhood social committee, which she founded in 2015.
One of Zack’s greatest rewards has been contributing to healthcare access and choice for residents of Nevada.
“I am excited to build statewide awareness about the innovative services offered by Easterseals Nevada,” Zack said. “We provide top-ranked physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and educational services to more than 600 children in state-of-the-art facilities in Las Vegas and Reno, and similar in-home early intervention services with a focus on children who are working to reach developmental milestones. Additionally, we provide programs for over 200 adults with intellectual and physical limitations through our Capability & Career Enhancement Program and Capability Centers and for all ages through our Independent Living and Capability Enhancement/Enrichment programs.”
Zack received her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from Dickinson College. In 2017, Zack was featured in American Healthcare Leader magazine for her leadership at Mariner Health Care and was also accepted into the American Health Care Association’s prestigious leadership program.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the patients, clients and families we serve, I’m honored to welcome Christine to Easterseals Nevada,” said Karl Armstrong, Chairman of Easterseals Nevada Board of Directors. “We were fortunate to recruit a seasoned healthcare executive to innovate and expand our services throughout the State. Christine is a visionary who has brought tremendous strategic insight to our business operations and mission. Her leadership over the past two months has already had a profound positive impact on our organization. The board is excited to support Christine’s strategic vision and further the growth of Easterseals Nevada.”
