RENO – The Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS (RSAR) has named REALTOR and RSAR member, Antonette Shaw, recipient of the Spotlight of Excellence Award. The Spotlight of Excellence Award is a biannual honor that recognizes RSAR members who provide selfless and extraordinary service to the community, their clients and customers. The award is in its fourth year.
“The Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS is honored to announce Antonette as a recipient of this award, for her outstanding service to clients, our industry and our community,” said Doug McIntyre, 2018 RSAR President and REALTOR with Reno Property Management. “She has fostered pride and spirit in the people she works with and exemplifies an outstanding citizen in our region.”
Shaw is a native Nevadan, and she established her career as a real estate professional in 2004. She is known for her strong commitment to honesty and integrity. Shaw is an active member of the Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS, the Nevada Association of Realtors, and served as the 2017 Nevada state governor for the Women’s Council of Realtors and as the 2015 president for the Women’s Council of Realtors.
Shaw assists Volunteers of America and spends much of her time volunteering with the Veteran’s Resource Center (VRC) raising money for and aiding homeless vets. Her support has “directly benefited several veterans through her contributions to the Adopt a Veteran for Christmas program,” according to Genesee Roberts, veterans service officer for Veterans Resource Centers of America. She has volunteered to provide a Big Game party for homeless clients at their residential facility. In addition, her support provides up to four homeless veterans per month services for emergency housing. She has also sponsored the VRC at the annual Veterans Day Parade.
Doug McPartland, REALTOR with Krch Realty, received an honorable mention.
