The Abbi Agency, an integrated marketing agency, recently expanded their senior leadership team with the addition of Shannon Riley as their digital media director. Riley brings a wealth of experience to the agency in delivering results-driven strategies, tactical campaign creation and strategic implementation. As a veteran in the media buying industry, Riley is versed in placing, measuring and optimizing traditional, non-traditional, digital and social media buys.
“Shannon has a deep understanding of the digital process, which means that she is able to carry out and track media buying throughout every stage of a campaign,” said Abbi Agency Co-Founder Abbi Whitaker “She has also shown the ability to always be ahead of new technologies and changes to policies of existing platforms, which is no small feat in this ever-evolving digital world that we work and live in. We’re thrilled to have her on board as we start to focus on the upcoming year.”
This announcement comes in the wake of the agency’s January hiring of Chief Creative Officer, Michael Leonardini, an award-winning designer and creative director with nearly two decades of experience creating national and international marketing and branding programs. Leonardini brings an extensive professional track record and valuable insight to the agency’s well-rounded leadership team.
“As the Abbi Agency continues to grow our focus on digital story building, the addition of Shannon allows us to offer our clients a growing in-house team of digital-first professionals that bring their decades of experience to our clients,” added Whitaker.
Before joining The Abbi Agency, Riley worked as a digital marketing manager, where she spearheaded campaigns in the hospitality, medical and technology fields. During that time, she oversaw digital marketing efforts for boutique hospitality organizations to drive engagement and sales. Riley also gained valuable experience in Southern California’s broadcasting market, where she worked as a national sales director from 2014-2015.
“I was drawn to The Abbi Agency for a number of reasons,” explained Riley. “Not only is the team amazing, thoughtful and creative, they truly understand the importance of digital marketing and the need for today’s marketers to engage their audiences in the spaces and ways which are meaningful for them.”
Riley earned a Master’s Certificate in hospitality management from eCornell in 2016, a Master’s degree in communications from San Diego State University in 2010 and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. She enjoys skiing, yoga, meditation, hiking and traveling in her spare time.
