RENO — Len Marazzo, a trusted travel and hospitality manager with more than 30 years of experience, now leads Courtyard by Marriott’s sales and marketing efforts, the company announced.
Purchased by Sandpiper Reno, LLC in Feb. 2018, the Courtyard by Marriott in located near the I-580 and S. Virginia Street intersection in February 2018.
“Len’s vast experience in the hospitality industry will more than enhance our sales and marketing abilities,” said Emily Ravn, Courtyard by Marriott general manager. “He knows how to create relationships with clients, vendors, marketing partners, staff and colleagues. He will build meaningful long-term partnerships for the Courtyard.”
Marazzo is no stranger to Reno-Tahoe and has helmed sales and marketing efforts for major hospitality and retail organizations in the area since 1989.
His hiring comes as Sandpiper begins extensive capital improvements to the Courtyard, which is conveniently located near the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Plans for the 117-room hotel call for a full re-imaging of the exterior façade, a complete renovation of the guestrooms and a refresh of the lobby and bistro area. Guests can continue to expect a welcoming experience during the renovations.

The Courtyard by Marriott offers guests a fitness center, indoor swimming pool and hot tub, and meeting/event space.
