RENO – The Whittier Trust Company of Nevada, Inc. (WTC-NV), an independent wealth management company serving high-net-worth families, individuals and foundations across the United States, welcomes Mary Tallent-Stewart to their team as a client advisory associate. Her responsibilities include maintaining strong channels of communication with clients and upholding client satisfaction. WTC-NV also welcomes Jay Karpen to the team as an investment analyst. His responsibilities include assisting WTC-NV senior portfolio officers with the management of client accounts.

Tallent-Stewart brings more than 33 years of experience in the personal and corporate trust industries. Most recently, Tallent-Stewart served as assistant vice president & trust administrator at Zions Trust where she specialized in estate settlement, foundation and agency accounts. Prior to joining Zions Trust, Tallent-Stewart was part of the personal trust team at Pioneer Citizens Bank and a senior corporate trust officer at Bank of America and Security Pacific National Bank.
Prior to joining WTC-NV, Karpen worked at City of Hope, a major research hospital in Los Angeles. He helped oversee a $3 billion portfolio across asset classes, including global equities, fixed income, private equity, real assets and hedge funds. Before working at City of Hope, Jay worked at M. Safra & Co. Inc., a New York based family office, where he held several positions including investment analyst, manager of alternative investments, and treasurer.
Karpen graduated cum laude from Connecticut College with a dual major in economics and government. He is also a CFA charter holder.
