Join the Mountain’s Edge Master Planned Community for a day of outdoor shopping and treasure hunting during its annual Fall Community Garage Sale on Saturday, Oct. 6. Items can be purchased at Exploration Park and homes throughout the community from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Baby and adult clothing, household goods, furniture, antiques and more will be sold. The Exploration Park parking lot will host 70 sellers, and nearly 400 homeowners will sell items at their homes throughout the fast-selling master plan. A digital map will be available the morning of the event on www.mymountainsedge.com under the “Activities” tab.
Peoples Autism Foundation will be accepting donation of gently used items at Exploration Park from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The nonprofit organization will be unable to take large item donations, such as furniture. Peoples Autism Foundation is dedicated to helping children with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through information services and direct support.
In addition, University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) will be hosting a Safe Car Seat event at Paiute Park, also in Mountain’s Edge at 9347 S. Cimarron Rd., from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will check to make sure booster seats are installed properly and fix any that aren’t and need adjustment. No appointment is necessary. The service will be on a first-come, first- served basis.
Mountain’s Edge is located at 9275 So. Buffalo Drive. Exploration Park is just south of the community’s main entrance off of Blue Diamond Road.
