Question: What does Managed Services and Ronald McDonald have in common?
Answer: We both believe in the security of the children! Business Continuity is honored to be the technology and business partner to the Ronald McDonald House-Las Vegas.
This year, Ronald McDonald House-Las Vegas, is celebrating 20 years of providing a “home-away-from home” for those families so they can be close to the best medicine of all – each other. Since opening in July of 1998, the 12-bedroom Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas (The House that Love Built) has provided temporary housing to 4,677 families for a total of 56,660 nights.
2017 was a year of triumph and tragedy for Las Vegas – a year that united our entire community like never before!
Tragedy has a way of doing that.
The families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House often experience tragedy in a way the rest of us hope and pray we never have to know. A child’s serious illness or injury takes an incredible emotional, physical, and financial toll on theentire family. Parents often describe it as being frozen in time – stuck in a recurring nightmare of hospital bedside vigils, worry, and uncertainty.
That is where their Ronald McDonald House journey begins. As the days, weeks, and even months pass, families learn to lean on the shoulders of fellow family members and staff who were once total strangers. They learn to cope, and even more importantly, find HOPE again.
All of this healing happens within the walls of the Ronald McDonald House and our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Sunrise Children’s Hospital. Whether it’s a comfortable place to lay their heads to rest, delicious home-cooked meals tonourish their tired minds and bodies, or a much-needed hug, they always find it at the “House that Love Built.”
“BCT has a special fondness for the Ronald McDonald House”, states Rory Jackson, Technical Manager for BCT. “Our techs just love going to this place on service calls and being proactive in keeping their technology infrastructure in a solid, secure state with our award winning Managed Services. Our affiliation with CompTIA, the largest IT Trade Association in the country have been generous in their donations.”
Earle and Lester Keizer, co-founders of BCT are humbled when Alyson McCarthy, CEO of Ronald McDonald House says, “Business Continuity Technologies is not just our technology partner- they are family.” Ronald Mcdonald House and BCT helping families and children, one child at a time for a better Las Vegas.
