Reno – First Independent Bank is proud to welcome Cindy Buchanan as vice president, senior commercial lender.
Buchanan is a longtime Northern Nevada resident and an experienced banker who has spent more than 27 years building relationships with business owners and operators who seek lending and banking solutions.
In her new position, Buchanan will assist the commercial lending team in attracting new business and expanding existing relationships within the region’s growing economy.
Buchanan completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno, with a specialization in Finance. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
In addition to her banking responsibilities, Buchanan is the treasurer for the Northern Nevada Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), is actively involved with the University of Nevada Alumni Women of the Silver and Blue, is a past president of Western Industrial Nevada (WIN), has held several leadership positions on the Chamber’s Leadership program and served on the Advisory Board.
