LAS VEGAS, NV – In just about every industry interpersonal relationships matter, and golf can be an extremely effective networking tool. They say “it’s not what you know, but who you know,” and a golf course is a great place to get to know someone. This is exactly why the upcoming HeroGrown Spring Golf Classic is an opportunity for networking in the new and growing cannabis industry.
The inaugural charity golf tournament will be held May 24, 2018 at the Sienna Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. In partnership with the HomeGrown Foundation and Exhale Brands, the event will raise funds to assist Veterans and First Responders in gaining access to cannabis as a safe alternative to deadly prescription drugs.
“Forming a relationship, even a business relationship, takes time,” said Pete Findley, Co-Founder and CEO of Exhale Brands. “The networking opportunity at our golf event, with participants from the cannabis and related industries, affords plenty of time for quality conversation amongst industry, local business, Veterans and First Responders from our community. We hope to combine fun, good conversation, and fundraising for our Veterans and First Responders in Southern Nevada. Several recent studies are proving that cannabis and CBD are working to reduce the opioid epidemic and are a good alternative to deadly prescription drugs.”
The charitable arm of Exhale Brands, Exhale Gives Back, acts as a “Charity to Charities”. Devoted to making a difference in the community, Exhale Gives Back partners with charities in the Las Vegas area, to fundraise and further the causes of drug education awareness, youth program development, veterans outreach and assistance, and medical marijuana education, research, and assistance. HeroGrown Foundation’s sole mission is to assist Veterans, First Responders, and their families gain access to cannabis as a safe alternative to deadly prescription drug cocktails. (https://www.herogrown.org). Founded in 2013, as Grow for Vets, HeroGrown is nationally recognized as the preeminent organization fighting for our heroes’ right to use cannabis.
“We are bringing together leaders and trendsetters from across the cannabis industry to create two dynamic opportunities; networking and raising money for Veterans and First Responders. We assist our members as they work to wean themselves off prescription drugs.” said Roger Martin Founder of HomeGrown Foundation. “If we can raise money for our foundation and beef up the contact list for cannabis business leaders, then we have accomplished a win-win.”
Exhale Gives Back welcomes any and all businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor the event. All proceeds raised directly benefit the HeroGrown Foundation in their efforts to local Veterans and First Responders.
The format for the tournament is a 4-player Scramble. Tournament prizes to be awarded include a Hole-In-One Longest Drive and Closest to The Pin; in addition to prizes for the winning and losing teams. The Titans of Cannabis Banquet follows play and includes a dinner, awards presentation and a live auction featuring celebrity auctioneer Jeff Manning.
