Thanks to the overwhelming support of golfers, donors, community supporters and volunteers, Golf 4 The Kids raised an impressive $70,000!
Proceeds from the tournament will support the nonprofit Cure 4 The Kids Foundation whose Charity Care Program provides life-saving treatment to patients without medical insurance as well as to patients who would not be able to afford treatment.
More than 100 golfers took part in the 18-hole tournament played on Red Rock Country’s Club’s private Mountain Course. In addition, many golfers added to the fundraising total by purchasing raffle tickets for a number of exciting prizes.
Cure 4 The Kids Foundation operates the only outpatient clinic in Nevada providing specialized medical treatment to children affected by childhood cancer as well as many other life-threatening conditions, including rare and ultra-rare diseases, genetic conditions, sickle cell disease, rheumatology and bleeding disorders.
“We are thankful for the many golfers who play in our tournament year after year for no other reason than to support the children who would not otherwise receive life-saving treatment,” said Annette Logan-Parker, President & CEO, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “We are truly humbled by the compassion of all the golfers who joined us this year and for what it allows us to provide to the community.”
Since 2007, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation has helped more than 500 families receive the care they need through the Charity Care Program.
