LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas HEALS, a nonprofit membership-based healthcare association, announced that the organization has moved into new office space. The organization recently relocated its offices to the Roseman University Summerlin Campus at One Breakthrough Way. Roseman University President and Co-founder Dr. Renee E. Coffman has been an active member of Las Vegas HEALS since 2002 and has served on the Board of Directors for the past three years, making this affiliation a seamless transition.
“The missions of both organizations align as we focus on the improvement of the quality of health in Southern Nevada,” said Doug Geinzer, CEO of Las Vegas HEALS. “The new, ample space will help us as we grow and continue holding important meetings and events that impact our healthcare sector.”
Coffman said, “We are proud to welcome Las Vegas HEALS to the Summerlin campus. Roseman University has worked collaboratively with the organization for many years to address the many healthcare challenges our region faces, and to advocate for and create change to benefit the public. We look forward to continuing to work with Las Vegas HEALS and all of its members to address our current and future healthcare needs.”
The new space is situated across from Roseman University’s 98-seat auditorium, which the organization will be able to use. The future plans include bringing healthcare industry leaders together for a speaker series on various significant topics affecting this industry on a local level. Las Vegas HEALS will also have access to a 16-seat conference room for hosting council and task force meetings.
“Las Vegas HEALS has succeeded in bringing together healthcare leaders to ‘start and continue conversations’ necessary to fulfill our mission. These conversations have included everything from graduate medical education (GME) expansion to addressing inadequate provider reimbursement levels, nursing shortages to medical tourism. Being co-located within Roseman University will allow us to start and continue more of these conversations,” said Bob Cooper, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Las Vegas HEALS.
