Leaders of Faith Community Lutheran Church and schools came together with their congregation and members of the community to break ground on a new campus to meet the needs of their growing ministry in the Las Vegas Valley.
The new church campus, which will be located near S. Town Center Drive and Garden Mist in Summerlin is about a mile south of its current campus and school, Faith Lutheran Academy.
The first phase of the project includes building a new, 36,000 square-foot, two-story spiritual life center that will include a sanctuary, new offices, areas for children and youth ministries, a daycare, and an area for activities for seniors. The first phase is expected to be completed in a year and will coincide with the church’s 20th anniversary.
“Our ministry touches lives in Las Vegas and throughout the world. This new campus will allow us to invite even more people to know Jesus.” said Senior Pastor Craig Michaelson.
The project was designed by JVC Architects and is being built by DC Building Group.
“This has been a really great relationship and we’re proud to be part of this project,” said Jay Otado, Project Manager at JVC Architects. “Faith has a special goal, and they’ve centered a community around it. We’re excited to be a part of it.”
The second phase of development is construction of the new sanctuary, which will allow more capacity for worship services, including increased parking.
Currently, Faith welcomes around 170 worshipers each week.
