What’s going on in Las Vegas? A lot, especially if you’re a nonprofit agency.
Week after week, groups devoted to public good and charity hold events and gatherings. To better promote these events, a local businesswoman has started a new online community calendar.
Michele Rothstein, the entrepreneur behind the award-winning Balloons With A Twist, launched www.mastercalendarlasvegas.com and the ancillary social media channels @mastercalendarL (Twitter) @mastercalendarlv (Facebook and Instagram).
Rothstein, who began her business 24 years ago and is on the Board of Directors for non profits including Create A Change Now and Women of Global Change, said she created the calendar to highlight worthy events.
Her new venture also serves as an “event conflict calendar” for non profits.
Candace Knobloch, founder of Create A Change Now, said, “As a nonprofit that plans ongoing events throughout the year, it will now be a pleasure to go to one place, Master Calendar Las Vegas, to ensure there will be no conflict with other events on our selected dates.”
The site, which launched January 1, 2018, lists fundraisers and social gatherings and lets organizations add their own. The “Michele’s Picks” section features some of Rothstein’s favorite upcoming events.
“I’m hoping to expose more people to the amazing nonprofits we have here in Las Vegas and the myriad of events that are happening around us,” said Rothstein, whose business also helps Aid For AIDS of Nevada, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, among others.
