Nevada Association of Employers presents “Supervisory Skills: The Fundamentals,” a four-week training series designed for supervisors and managers interested in strengthening their management skills.
This four-week series will cover topics including employment law overview, performance management and reasonable suspicion. At the end of the series, attendees will have an understanding of the laws applicable to their roles as supervisors and managers and know what the best practices are.
On Jan. 12, the two-hour session will cover the issues of workplace harassment and discipline and discharge, presented by NAE CEO Thoran Towler, a longtime local attorney and former labor commissioner for the state of Nevada. The training provides an in-depth review of the laws applicable to workplace bullying and sexual harassment, and guidance on employee discipline and discharge, including types of disciplinary action, documentation and best practices.
