LAS VEGAS – Saluting America Foundation will be collaborating with the Clark County School District in distributing 15,000 Tribute Cards to “hometown heroes” during the week of December 11. Saluting America’s mission is to honor all who serve our country and have designed custom Tribute Cards for the Las Vegas area law enforcement, fire fighters, EMTs, hospital personnel, city officials, Clark County coroner’s office, and others who serve the city. Over 20 Clark County School District middle schools participated in this project, with a total of over 15,000 students expressing their thanks and gratitude.
“We are proud to be a part of this outstanding effort and movement toward healing for all the citizens of Las Vegas,” said Jan Baker Program Director. “We thank the Clark County School District and the School-Community Partnership Program for the support and assistance!”
Saluting America instills a strong sense of active citizenship and patriotism in America’s K-12 students, raises awareness of our nation’s cherished values, and honors those who serve our country. This is their fifth year of operation and in that time period, has delivered over 700,000 Tribute Cards to active military and veterans.
