Workforce Connections’ Business Engagement Specialist Team (B.E.S.T.) is hosting an insightful Business Engagement Panel on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Workforce Connections office located at 6330 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 150 (at Torrey Pines), Las Vegas, 89146.
The panel will discuss how Governor Brian Sandoval is redefining Nevada’s workforce and Workforce Connections’ plans to address employer needs to build a future skilled workforce.
Workforce Connections will also introduce the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), a nationally recognized certificate that is aimed to measure skills that are necessary for employers, educators, and workforce development professionals nationwide.
“It’s incredibly important for the workforce community to come together with employers to discuss and assess the current workforce landscape,” said Kenadie Cobbin Richardson, director of business engagement & communications for Workforce Connections. “This panel is a critical tool in helping bridge the gap between what the workforce is and what the workforce needs.”
Workforce Connections’ Business Engagement Panel is comprised of key employers in the community and have decision-making and hiring authority in local businesses. They deliver locally relevant workforce intelligence to improve the workforce community in Las Vegas.
