Reno, Nev. – NCET hosts its 12th annual Small Business Expo Friday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s Grand Ballroom. Business owners can network with more than 1,000 business people, 100 exhibitors, and learn from 10 different educational sessions throughout the daylong seminar. Admission for small business owners is free with the presentation of a business card.
The Expo’s list of educational speakers aims to provide the newest information about legal issues, marketing channels and business planning matters. Speakers include Kelly McIntosh from Holland & Hart who presents “A Legal Checkup for Your Business,” an integrated marketing seminar presented by the Northern Nevada Business Weekly and more from the Public Relations Society of America.
“You can use the trade show’s educational sessions to learn new information, be stimulated by new ideas, or come away with an action plan for business growth,” Dave Archer, NCET president & CEO, said.
The Expo offers opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs by creating informal one-on-one conversations and networking with fellow attendees. In addition, more than 100 vendors are located throughout the Expo providing advice on business plans, financial strategies, marketing, social media messages, legal concerns for small businesses, and more.
Nevada’s Lieutenant Governor Mark Hutchison, as a small business owner, values the connections and advice that other businesses can provide.
“As a small business owner myself, I understand the economic development opportunities that small businesses can offer to our state’s future if given the chance to meet their full potential,” Lieutenant Governor Hutchinson said. “I’m proud to support the NCET Small Business Expo and the important role NCET plays in helping Northern Nevada entrepreneurs bring their dreams to a reality — a reality that can create a better tomorrow for Nevada communities and families.”
