This engineering and technology-based manufacturer of LED lighting solutions is relocating its US manufacturing and research and development operations to Reno. The company’s corporate headquarters will also move to an adjacent property in the South Meadows area. Elemental LED plans to hire up to 100 employees across several fields with an average hourly wage of $42.84 and invest $1,865,000 in capital equipment in the first two years.
Ryze Renewables Las Vegas, LLC
With plans to acquire and refurbish an already existing North Las Vegas bio-diesel processing facility, Ryze Renewables will open 67 new job positions in Southern Nevada. The company will also invest around $150 million in capital expenditures for the new location. Ryze Renewables uses patented technology to manufacture 100 percent renewable diesel. The North Las Vegas facility will open in 2018 and produce 60 million gallons of renewable diesel per year.
Expanding operations in Southern Nevada, Scientfic Games is a developer of technology-based products and services for worldwide gaming, lottery and interactive markets. The company plans to hire 80 new employees over the next five years with an average hourly wage of $30.00 per hour. After merging with Bally Gaming, Inc. and WSM Industries, Inc., Scientific Games will invest $14 million to transform its existing operations and headquarters into a campus.
HELP of Southern Nevada will open a residential and day programming location in mid-July to assist community youth with learning necessary skills to succeed as adults. The center will provide emergency shelter, intensive case management, addiction and behavioral health services, education, job training, career coaching and other services at no cost. The three-story facility can house up to 166 young adults from ages 16 to 24 and rooms within the shelter are available for sponsorship.
