Nevada Donor Network (NDN) is pleased to announce the hiring of Christina Hernandez as community services coordinator. In her new position, Hernandez is responsible for supporting the goals, mission and strategic plan of NDN through the development, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of its community services department’s strategies. Her role encompasses NDN’s DMV program, event planning, high school education program, and media outreach.
Before joining the NDN team, Hernandez served as metro marketing field team leader for Whole Foods Market. She managed all aspects of local marketing, including business outreach, community relations, digital marketing, in-store events, media relations, philanthropic support and public relations. Prior to that, she served as new media and marketing coordinator with Global Experience Specialists (GES) and sports marketing intern with the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.
Hernandez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Speech Communications from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Las Vegas Interactive Marketing Association, Kappa Alpha Theta and the University of Nevada’s Southern Nevada Alumni Chapter.
With a passion for learning about new cultures and a bucket list goal of seeing something new every year for the rest of her life, Hernandez enjoys traveling abroad. Most recently, she visited Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama.
