(Las Vegas) – Smith’s Food & Drug Stores invites customers to try ClickList, an online grocery ordering service, offering customers 40,000 items from their desktop or mobile device for next-day curbside pick-up. As an introductory offer, Smith’s will waive the $4.95 service charge for a customer’s first three orders.
The ClickList service will be available for first time orders at the Smith’s Food & Drug located at 3850 E. Flamingo Rd., beginning August 24, 2016, with curbside pick-up available the next day. Smith’s anticipates offering additional Las Vegas locations with the new service by the end of 2016.
The introduction of ClickList to the Nevada market illustrates the evolution of customers embracing technology to enhance their shopping experiences.
“We know today’s customers are continuously looking for ways to increase their productivity yet simplify their lives,” said Marsha Gilford, Smith’s vice president public affairs. “We are certain this online shopping service will offer busy families, seniors, people with disabilities and other shoppers an easier and more convenient way to grocery shop.”
How does ClickList work? A customer goes to www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/ClickList and creates a free, online account. Next, the customer selects a participating store and selects from 40,000 items, which are categorized and sorted for easy viewing and selection. The customer builds their digital cart by clicking and adding products. Once the customer has completed their online shopping, they select an available pick-up time. Orders placed before midnight are available for next day pick up between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
A specially -trained ClickList Smith’s associate then handpicks the customer’s items based on personal preferences provided. Special attention is given to the selection of produce and other perishable items. The products are stored appropriately (including refrigeration or freezing) until the customer arrives for pick up. Finally, the customer drives up to the clearly marked pick-up area to notify the ClickList team of their arrival, purchase their order and have the groceries quickly loaded into their car.
ClickList includes no minimum or maximum orders and online shoppers may purchase most products Smith’s offers, including over-the-counter health and beauty products. Some seasonal items, apparel, hot foods, liquor and pharmacy prescriptions cannot be purchased.
