LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance announced that Terrence Thornton has been promoted to the position of vice president of Investor Services and Development. Previously, he served as director of Investor Services and Development.
In this new role, Thornton will oversee all aspects of investor management, recruitment, prospecting and fundraising activities.
“Terrence has been a loyal, hardworking, and indispensable member of the LVGEA team for the last 10 years,” said Jonas Peterson, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “His leadership in maintaining valuable relationships with our board of directors and investors allows the LVGEA to have the resources it needs in order to accomplish its goals. His dedication to the community and economic development over the years have left a lasting impact on the diversification efforts of our region. We are pleased to promote him to this new position.”
A native of Southern Nevada, Thornton earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University. He has worked with the LVGEA since 2006.
