Dermody Properties, a national industrial acquisition, development and operating firm headquartered in Reno, Nev., recently broke ground on a 546,000-square-foot industrial facility in Shepherdsville, Ky. Known as LogistiCenter(SM) at 480, the facility is located on Park Loop Road in the Cedar Grove Business Park.
LogistiCenter at 480 is well-suited for e-commerce, warehouse and distribution operations because of its strategic location. The bulk distribution facility is located less than two miles from the Interstate 65 and Kentucky Highway 480 interchange, near the Louisville International Airport and the UPS Worldport air hub. Other industrial operations in Cedar Grove Business Park include Amazon, Best Buy, Clorox, eBay, Gordon Foods, UPS and Zappos.
“The site is ideally located in Bullitt County. Future customers will benefit from its proximity to air and ground shipping hubs, as well as the region’s business friendly infrastructure,” said Michael Dolan, Partner, Dermody Properties Midwest Region Office. “We are excited to be developing another project in Shepherdsville.”
This new bulk warehouse and distribution center will feature e-commerce-compliant design, including 36-feet of clear height, 49 dock doors, expandable to 99 dock doors, 63 trailer stalls and 320 car parking stalls. Construction is expected to be complete in late 2016.
“We are pleased to be breaking ground again in the greater Louisville market,” said Douglas A. Kiersey, Jr., President, Dermody Properties. “This project is consistent with Dermody Properties’ strategy of investing in regional distribution markets with sustainable demand drivers. The Cedar Grove Business Park has been extremely successful, and we look forward to developing its newest facility.”
LogistiCenter at 480 is the company’s fourth investment in the state and second in Shepherdsville. In 2014, Dermody Properties developed a 631,000-square-foot facility at Conestoga Parkway known as LogistiCenter at I-65. The Shepherdsville facility was leased last year to GameStop.
LogistiCenter at 480, which is owned and being developed by Dermody Properties, is represented by Kevin Grove and Doug Butcher of CBRE, and Gordian Design and Construction is the general contractor on the project.
