WASHINTON, D.C. – Longtime Nevada REALTOR Marvin Rubin was one of two REALTORS in the nation to receive the Meritorious Service Award this week from the National Association of REALTORS at NAR’s mid-year meeting in Washington, D.C.
Dave Tina, president of the Nevada Association of REALTORS (NVAR), said Rubin’s honor was one of the most prestigious awards an NAR member can receive from the national association. As one of NAR’s 535 Federal Political Coordinators for 2016, Rubin was recognized for his years of service and diligence in promoting real estate issues and his advocacy work with members of Nevada’s congressional delegation, including U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.
“Only two REALTORS each year receive this prestigious award,” Tina said. “It’s an honor for Marv to be one of them, and it says a lot about what he has done to help our profession, our state and our local and national associations over the years.”
Scott Beaudry, president of the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS, added that “Marv his fought the good fight for many years to ensure that the REALTOR voice has been heard by our congressional delegation.”
Rubin is a REALTOR with the Meadows Realty Group in Las Vegas. Over the years, he has been an active member and board member of NVAR and GLVAR, earning several awards from the local associations.
