Centennial Toyota and its customers showed their support for kids with cancer at its Third Annual Centennial Shave Off last Friday. Anthony Woods, general manager of the dealership, hosted customers as they and Centennial Toyota team members got their heads shaved by young cancer survivors, with assistance from a professional hair dresser, to benefit the nonprofit Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada.
About 50 people enjoyed treats and beverages, and the company of superheroes from Critical Care Comics. Several lucky raffle winners went home with great prizes, including Magic Mountain tickets, and the dealership raffled off an iPad to encourage its employees.
“Through the Centennial Shave Off, our childhood cancer patients were able to meet the Centennial Toyota team who are passionate about the Candlelighters mission of helping kids with cancer and their families, and the Centennial Toyota team was able to see the result of their efforts in a fun and meaningful way,” said Melissa Cipriano, executive director of Candlelighters. “We can’t thank Anthony and Centennial Toyota enough for their continuing support.”
Next, Centennial Toyota is one of the major sponsors of the Candlelighters’ 25th Anniversary Superhero 5K with Chet Buchanan on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Exploration Park in the Mountain’s Edge Master Planned Community, 9600 South Buffalo Drive.
