Fourth annual benefit supports access to medical and dental care for low-income and uninsured Nevadans
Reno, Nev. – Community Health Alliance (CHA) will hold its fourth annual Wine & Ribs fundraiser at Bartley Ranch Regional Park at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15. Proceeds from the event will support CHA in its mission to provide medical and dental care for low-income and uninsured northern Nevadans.
Wine & Ribs will feature ribs and side dishes from Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que and over 25 wine varietals from Whispering Vine Wine Co. Live entertainment will be performed by Luke Stevenson, Lake Tahoe local and moving guitar musician, and local groups, the Plastic Junkies & Contraband. There will also
be a silent auction featuring many food, beverage and entertainment packages.
“Wine & Ribs is an important event for us because it goes a long way to raise the funds necessary to provide essential medical and dental services to those in need,” said Chuck Duarte, CEO of CHA. “We serve the underserved, and we couldn’t do it without community support.”
CHA provides high quality medical care for all ages, dental care and integrated behavioral health care in five fixed site clinics and three mobile medical/dental units in Washoe County. Patients who lack insurance are charged on a sliding fee scale that is adjusted for income and family size, keeping important health
care services affordable. On a yearly basis, CHA has 120,000 patient visits for medical services and dental care.
Tickets for Wine & Ribs are $60, and are available by calling 775.336.3030 or by emailing npatin@chanevada.org. Sponsors of the event include: EideBailly CPAs & Business Advisors, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Renown Medical Center, Northern Nevada Medical Center/Prominence Health Plans, IGT,
Debbie Day and Edna Benna.
